90% of Irish Students Union to vote ‘yes’ on same-sex marriage
Ahead of this May’s Irish referendum on same-sex marriage, the country’s Students Union has announced that 90% of students plan to vote to approve the measure.
The Republic of Ireland, which introduced civil partnerships in 2011, is set to vote this May on extending civil marriage to same-sex couples.
Union of Students in Ireland, on launching a campaign this morning supporting a ‘yes’ vote, it was also announced that 90% of students plan to support it.
He has made several pleas for same-sex marriage in recent months.

There are currently no plans to introduce same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland.
