Two charged in vicious homophobic beating
Two men have been charged following a violent homophobic attack which took place in South West London last year.
The thugs, who were wearing pink tutus and fairy wings, carried out the homophobic attack in Surbiton, south-west London,last November.
The pair hurled anti-gay abuse at their two victims, before punching them and kicking them in the head.
Yesterday, Alan Banks, 26 from Kingston was charged with assault by beating, exposure and actual bodily harm and Samuel Light 26, from Elmbridge, Surrey, was charged with actual bodily harm.
The two were bailed, and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on 9 March.
One of the victims, 21-year-old Robbie Kingsford, needed hospital treatment after the attack.
His 18-year-old friend was also injured in the assault.
