Is the Queen handing out leaflets for UKIP?
The Queen has travelled all over the world as Head of State – but one place we’d be surprised to find her is backing Nigel Farage.
A doppelgänger for the monarch was spotted on Bromley High Street by an avid Twitter user – handing out leaflets for UK Independence Party.

Though the party is more popular with older voters, the Queen is legally bound to remain politically neutral – and so probably wasn’t found supporting Nigel Farage.
The identity of the woman – who does bear a striking resemblance to HM – is not known, but she has attracted thousands of retweets.
Even the party’s PPC in Bromley Emmett Jenner weighed in, joking that “it’s because she’s a party member”.
@CalumSPlath I know it might sound daft, but it’s because she’s a party member. Thanks for the great pic. — Emmett Jenner (@Emmett_Jenner) March 29, 2015
Earlier today, Prime Minister David Cameron went to see the Queen for the final time ahead of May’s General Election, as Parliament officially dissolved.
Mr Cameron has not mentioned whether the Queen was wearing a giant purple rosette at the time.
