Apple CEO Tim Cook is living proof that being gay doesn’t mean you can dance
Out Apple boss Tim Cook is defying stereotypes again – by showing that some gay men really, really can’t dance.
The tech boss became the only openly gay CEO of a top 1000 US company when he came out last October.
In a number GIFs surfacing online today, the tech boss can be seen dancing badly at an event outside the company’s HQ in Cupertino – as ‘Happy’ singer Pharrell Williams played to celebrate Earth Day.
Internet users have flooded to admire his “goofy dad dancing”.
Tim Cook knew his goofy dancing was going to end up on the internet and he goofy danced anyway. Always dance like there’s no one watching!

I may not be getting my Apple Watch tomorrow, but I found this GIF of Tim Cook dancing so it’s not all bad pic.twitter.com/18yL4OmuYh — Ricardo Moreno (@yoitsricardo) April 23, 2015
Unfortunately, longer videos of the boss’s dancing have been mercilessly suppressed – but live on in GIF form.
Mr Cook – whose sexuality was the subject of much speculation prior to his announcement – had said last year: “I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.”
It emerged earlier this week that the Russian version of Siri refuses to discuss homosexuality.
In a feature described by Apple as a bug, when asked how to register a gay marriage, it responded: “I will pretend I didn’t hear that”
