Vanessa Hudgens: It’s not fair to be closed minded – love comes first
Vanessa Hudgens has spoken out about why she is a strong ally to the LGBT community, saying being closed minded isn’t fair.
The High School Musical star spoke in an interview with GLAAD, a US LGBT organiastion.
In the interview she said: “People can be very closed minded and I think it’s not right. I don’t think it’s fair. I think it’s important for us to stand up for people and to have each other’s back, and to be involved with the gay community and support the community,” Hudgens said.
“I’m a very open person. Love comes first for me. I don’t see people as gay or straight. I see you as good person and not good person. Like, if you’re a good person, I will love you. It does not matter what you are.”
The 26-year-old, who is starring in Gigi on Broadway, also voiced her support for GLAAD’s #GotYourBack campaign, which empowers LGBT people and their allies to speak out in support of acceptance.
