Gay McDonald’s customer served hamburger ‘seeping with blood’
A customer in McDonald’s in the state of Washington has said he was served a hamburger “seeping with blood” after a staff member called him a “faggot” within earshot.
Luis Hernandez said he ordered a hamburger and noticed that a manager was berating another member of staff, reports KIRO 7.
After he asked whether the management always addressed colleagues like that, he said the staff member serving him walked away and said to another colleague “That’s why I can’t stand faggots.”
Hernandez also posted online a video of the burger he says he was served, which was drastically undercooked. He said he was served a “completely raw burger seeping with blood”
“I start to bite into it and it was just horrific smell, and that’s when I knew that something was wrong with it,” said Hernandez.
“I feel that they did that on purpose to try and intentionally hurt me and try to make me sick,” he added.
After the incident was reported to police and the county health department, the health department visited the branch of McDonald’s in Puyallup.
On the inspection report, the department wrote that it “visually noticed undercooking” on one grill.
A statement issued by McDonald’s reads: “Providing our customers excellent service and high quality food and beverages are top priorities at our restaurant. We strive to provide a welcoming environment for all of our customers. Discrimination is not tolerated and is completely inconsistent with our values. We have investigated and taken the appropriate corrective action.”
