These homophobes have been unknowingly advertising a gay porn site
Anti-gay protesters have been accidentally promoting a gay porn website for weeks without knowing.
Earlier this month, evangelical protesters appeared outside the Carolina Rebellion rock festival to condemn rock music and homosexuality.
The protesters’ signs point to the anti-gay blog ‘Warnings of Wrath’ – which rallies against homosexual “sodomites”.
However, an anonymous Reddit user noticed that the group’s web domain had actually expired – and bought it for themselves, without tipping off the protesters.
They redirected it to hardcore gay porn site ‘ScaryF**kers’ – which the protesters have been unwittingly advertising ever since.
The user wrote: “They condemned gays and rock music outside Carolina Rebellion. I bought the (unexpectedly expired) domain from their signs and pointed it at gay porn of people who probably like rock music. Fair?”
The site – which is very, very not safe for work – specialises in “Raw, Breeding, Bareback, Hardcore XXX Videos”.
It’s not the first time that technology has been turned against homophobes in the name of equality.
A tech-savvy rights activist earlier this month bought up domains related to politicians in Indiana who voted through the state’s anti-gay law – redirecting them to a less NSFW report on how homophobia impacts children.
He offered: “If you bring to the floor a nondiscrimination policy protecting LGBT people in Indiana, vote for it, and it is passed, I will happily donate the domains in question to you. I’m sure they’ll come in handy come stumping season.”
However, none of the Republicans have shown support for gay rights.
A gay couple also bought up JebBushforPresident.com – and use it to inform the public about issues faced by LGBT people, and protest the Republican Presidential contender’s anti-gay stance.
