Stephen Fry says he’s considering becoming a father
Stephen Fry says he and husband Elliot Spencer are considering parenthood.
The couple married in January, and in an upcoming edition of Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Mr Fry, who is 57, says they have discussed children.
He said: “We do talk about it.,and I suddenly think, ‘Oh my goodness I’m such an age now’, but actually that’s rather good, but we better get on with it if we do.”
As one of his records, he chose Ella Fitzgerald’s Do I Love You? dedicated to Mr Spencer, saying: “I’m still very much in the honeymoon phase.
“I think we both are, I hope so, and new and miraculous things have happened in our culture and I wanted to celebrate that and what better way than to be married.
“It’s bliss, I do carry a ridiculous beam on my face.”
He also discusses his previous drug problems, including the fact he took cocaine in Buckingham Palace.
Asked what his friend Prince Charles would make of tit, he said: “I think it’s safe to say that he knows I’m naughty, and I think he’s not a judgemental, mean, prissy sort of man.
“I think he would not be especially pleased at the thought of somebody doing that in the palace but nor would he leap to point you to the exit door and say ‘never return again’.”
Mr Fry and Mr Spencer reportedly had to abandon their honeymoon earlier this month due to homophobia.
