Photos: Crowds go wild at Berlin Pride
One of the largest Pride celebrations in Europe took place in Berlin today.
Crowds marched through the streets of Germany’s capital, long considered to be one of the most LGBT-friendly cities in the world.
Representatives from the US Embassy were there celebrating Friday’s Supreme Court judgement allowing same-sex marriage across the United States.
Germany still does not allow same-sex marriage, with the leading Christian Democrat Party seeming unwilling to change this, despite pressure from the opposition Green party.
Berlin’s famous Brandenburg Gate joined other landmarks around the world when it was lit up with rainbow lights to celebrate.
