Arnold Schwarzenegger had a brilliant reply to a fan upset with his rainbow picture
Actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger responded brilliantly to a fan who expressed disapproval of him.
The former Governor of California was joining in the Pride celebrations on Facebook – where users were adding a rainbow filter to their profile pictures.
He was also celebrating the Supreme Court ruling in favour of same-sex marriage across the United States.
But one fan wasn’t so happy, saying: “What’s wrong with [you] Arnie? I have to unlike…”
The Terminator star responded simply with one of his most famous lines: “Hasta la vista”.
Schwarzenegger’s views on same-sex marriage have become more positive over the years – during the debate over “religious freedom” laws in Indiana, he called on his fellow Republicans to evolve their views or risk losing support.
His support for LGBT rights was mixed during his time in office.Although he vetoed same-sex marriage, he went on to perform two ceremonies. He also signed in the repeal of a “gay cure” initiative.
Last year, the director of Expendables 3 said he thought Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character was gay.
