Earlier this month, Android launched a digital global Pride celebration, #AndProud, which allowed people to attend Pride parades around the world without leaving their homes.

The virtual parade allowed users to create or ‘Androidified’ version of themselves, dress it up and give it signature moves – with the characters physically appearing on screens on the Android floats.

The characters walked side-by-side in an online parade, and were featured at the London, New York and San Francisco prides.

A number of celebrities created characters for Google’s Android floats – including Sir Ian McKellen, Tom Daley, Sam Smith, and Kylie Minogue.
