Lloyds Banking Group releases ‘GAYTMs’ in support of Pride
In support of Pride in the UK, Lloyds Banking Group has launched its ‘GAYTMS’, which feature rainbow canopies.
The bank wanted to publicly demonstrate its support for LGBT employees and customers by joining in with Pride celebrations with the ATMs.
The bank also marched at Pride in London, and will do so in Leeds and Glasgow.
The ATMs, from Lloyds and Halifax, popped up in local branches in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow and Brighton.
Branches of Lloyds were also decked out with rainbow themed rainbow decorations.
At London Pride, over 60 Lloyds Banking Group employees took part in the parade, marching under the Lloyds Bank brand.
Lloyds Banking Group is demonstrating its long-time commmitment to supporting the LGBT community.
The Group has a ‘Rainbow Network’ made up of 2,200 colleagues and has received multiple awards for recognition, recently being named the Top Private Sector employer in the 2015 Stonewall Top 100 Employers list.
Fiona Cannon OBE, Group Director of Diversity & inclusion at Lloyds Banking Group said: “As a Group, we’re passionate about ensuring our business truly reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Supporting the LGBT community is of immense importance to us and ensuring our LGBT colleagues are as engaged as other groups of colleagues is a key commitment within our Helping Britain Prosper Plan.”
