ITV orders show based on a novel by successful gay entrepreneur
ITV has commissioned a new TV show based on a novel by the founder of one of London’s most successful gay networking communities.
Set in 1920s London, the film is a stand-alone story based on Britain’s most famous real life ghost hunter and sceptic, Harry Price, who investigated tales of the paranormal and supernatural.
The show is based on the novel The Ghost Hunters by Neil Spring, a novelist and founder of the social event and leading social networking community for gay professionals in London, Village Drinks.

An expert at sleight of hand and with a keen eye for identifying charlatans and tricksters, the audience will meet Harry after he has fallen on hard times, professionally and ethically losing his way.
Harry Price: Ghost Hunter will be executive produced for Bentley Productions by Jo Wright (Midsomer Murders, The Sculptress, Othello) and produced by Denise Paul (Doctor Who).

“Bentley Productions is developing a raft of new and exciting projects and this is one of my favourites. To be able to combine the book by Neil Spring with a script by Jack Lothian has been a delight, and we look forward to making this for our ITV audience.
Details of casting will be made available in the coming weeks with filming for Harry Price: Ghost Hunter taking place in London in September and October 2015.
