Boy Scouts ‘should be drowned’ for lifting ban, claims homophobic senator
As many celebrate the Boy Scouts National Executive Board lifting their ban on gay scout leaders, one man has accused the organisation of promoting child molestation.
Colorado State Representative Gordon Klingenschmitt pre warned parents before the ban was lifting, advising they remove their sons from the Boy Scouts before they are molested by gay leaders.
“If your boy is in one of those organisations, you need to get the out of there,” Klingenschmitt cried, “because what they’re going to do is promote homosexual men to mentoring and camping with your boys in the woods and it will lead to child abuse.”
Speaking on his “Pray In Jesus Name” show, the elected official and renowned homophobe went on to declare that it would be better for “these gay child molesters to be tossed into the sea and drowned than to be allowed to cause a child to sin.”
He also asked God to “rescue the Boy Scouts organisation from this political correctness that has openly forced men who are guilty of all kinds, who are openly admitting that they are engaged in all kinds of sodomy,” reports Right Wing Watch.
The Boy Scouts are “thumbing their nose at God,” Klingenschmitt roared, saying that lifting the ban would allow “the abusers and the molesters who will take advantage of this” to “cause harm to innocent children.”
His comments come as the BSA’s national executive board yesterday ratified a decision made earlier this year to lift its blanket ban on gay scout leaders.
The lifting of the ban takes immediate effect as 79 percent of the board gave approval, concluding that the policy “was no longer legally defensible.”
Following the landmark decision, the Mormon church has also criticised the decision, saying may have to reconsider its association with the organisation.
Klingenschmitt – a disgraced former Navy chaplain – has a history of making hate-filled anti-gay comments.
Last year, he claimed that gay soldiers cause problems in the military by “taking breaks on the combat field to change diapers”, because their “treacherous sin” means they “lose control of their bowels”.
He also claimed that “liberals demand public access to rape your girls” by allowing “transgenders” to use female toilets.
