Stockholm celebrates Pride weekend!
The UK wasn’t the only European country celebrating today, as thousands took to the streets of Sweden’s capital city to march in Stockholm’s Pride Parade.
The Pride Festival began on Wednesday and ends on Sunday, with host of events and special performances planned to celebrate – with one Italian couple even planning to marry at the event.
Stockholm Pride is the largest such event in the Nordic region – with over an estimated 50% of attendees estimated to be heterosexual.
Well known for the colours of the rainbow that grace the city each year at this time, Stockholm is a famously welcoming place for all LGBT people.
