Sam Smith waxes lyrical in Madame Tussauds footage
Sam Smith gets measured for his Madame Tussauds wax sculpture in a new behind-the-scenes video.
The footage shows the Grammy winner, 23, being photographed on a turntable and having impressions of his handprints taken.
He also has his head measured; and the eye and hair colour of his waxwork perfected.
It appears as if Smith’s waxwork will feature him kitted out in a suit in a ‘looking to the heavens in quiet desperation’ pose.
Smith recently spoke out about his privileged position over many other gay men and women across the world:
“It makes me so sad and sometimes feel so guilty that I have that simplest freedom whilst others don’t.” Smith said.
“Sorry to get so deep, but it kills me. I don’t understand why more of us aren’t doing something about it. I’ll leave it there.”
Sam is the latest LGBT public figure to be memorialised in wax. Trans actor and activist Laverne Cox’s waxwork was recently unveiled at Madame Tussauds in San Francisco.
