Someone called Mika a ‘faggot’ – his response was amazing

When a poster for Mikaā€™s concert was defaced with the word ā€œfaggotā€, the singer took the opportunity to make a stand.

The artist set the image as his Twitter photo and background after a follower shared it.

It shows a poster for Mikaā€™s concerts in Florence, across which was scrawled the Italian equivalent of the word faggot.

Writing in Italian, the singer said: ā€œI saw the writing on my posters and my instinct was to let it go ā€¦ that the hatred of some people, something I know very well , was best ignored,ā€ he wrote on Twitter.

The out gay singer also used the hashtag ā€œ#rompiamoilsilenzioā€, which translates to ā€œletā€™s break the silence.ā€

ā€œI am not afraid of Those Who discriminated against. No one Should be. Love does what it wants,ā€ he continued.

The tweets were retweeted and favourited thousands of times.
