Watch: This X Factor contestant wowed the judges wearing a skirt and handbag
A skirt-wearing singer wowed the X Factor judges – blowing them away with a cover of Queen’s The Show Must Go On.
Out singer Seann Miley Moore raised the judges’ eyebrows when he took to the stage with a unique look – wearing a black PVC skirt, hoop earrings and a handbag.
He said: “Music has allowed me to be me… It’s very important to express yourself through fashion, through music, through just screaming at the top of your lungs! If it makes you feel happy and right then do it.
“Living in Australia, I get a mixture of reactions – people walking in the street looking at you like ‘what the hell is that?’
“In London, the people are just like ‘work it!’… I think it’s more accepting.”
Seeing the singer, judge Rita Ora joked: “Did you go into my wardrobe?!”
However, the jokes did not last long – and his Queen performance wowed both the judges and the crowd.
New judge Nick Grimshaw told him: That was hands down the best thing I’ve seen all day. I loved it, I thought it was 100% you… you’re the person that everyone’s going to talk about tonight!”
Rita Ora added: You’ve got so much passion and so much determination and so much individuality… there is nothing I can say to you, apart from I am so happy you came on this show.”
A transgender singer recently wrote an open letter to American Idol, slamming the talent contest for looking for a transgender person to “exploit” on the show – just a year after flatly rejecting him.
