This James Bond character just came out as gay
One of the most well-known James Bond characters has come out as gay.
Pussy Galore comes out as a lesbian in a new Bond novel by Anthony Horowitz.
The character, who appeared originally in Goldfinger, ambiguously turned down Bond in the film, saying: “You can turn off the charm, I’m immune.”
Galore is a lesbian in the new book ‘Trigger Mortis’.
The book picks up the Bond story shortly after the end of Goldfinger.
A driving in structor for Bond rebuffs him, choosing Pussy Galore instead.
Honor Blackman played Pussy Galore in the 1964 Sean Connery film of Goldfinger.
Pierce Brosnan last month claimed that producers would insist on James Bond being exclusively heterosexual – and wouldn’t allow romances with men.
