Rapper Azealia Banks caught on camera branding air steward a ‘f**king faggot’
Rapper Azealia Banks has been caught on camera ranting about a flight attendant, branding him a “f**king faggot”.
The 212 rapper, who has repeatedly dismissed claims she is anti-gay in the past, was caught by TMZ shouting at a flight attendant on a plane after a confrontation with a French couple.
In the 47-second clip, she is heard screaming at not being let off the plane first.
She screams: “Give me my bag! Give my my f**king bag!”
When another member of the cabin crew attempts to mitigate the situation, she screams “Get me my bag, you f**king faggot!”
TMZ reports that the police were called over the confrontation, but Banks did not face charges.
However, Banks claims she was not at fault over the incident, and has refused to apologise.
She said: “OK so I get hit in the face by a man and no one cares. The only hear what I called the man who was blocking my exit.
“I don’t tolerate bitchassness and I don’t tolerate men putting their hands on me.”
Eyewitnesses dispute her account of events.
The rapper has used gay slurs on a number of occasions, regularly branding gay men “faggots” on social media.
In the past when she was challenged on her views, she claimed: “even if i am a homophobe… so wat? [sic] i still make more $ than u”.
She previously defended using the word ‘faggot’, claiming it is not a gay slur and just means “a man who hates women”.
Banks insisted: You can be gay or straight. You can be a straight faggot… Faggots are men who want to bring women down, fuck with their heads, control them.”
Banks has also claimed previously that it is impossible for her to be homophobic, because she is bisexual.
She wrote: “Why do gay men think everything I post about being gay is about them?! GIRLS ARE GAY TOO. I LIKE VAGINAS.
“For f**k’s sake, just give the Azealia banks is a homophobe thing a rest because I’m not. I have a transgender sibling. My whole life is gay.
“All of my friends are gay, I am bisexual…. So please… Stop.”
