This woman’s son made anti-gay remarks – you won’t believe what she did next
This mother took a hard line when her son made homophobic remarks at school.
Police were called after a 10-year-old boy was found wearing a tutu, women’s boots and women’s underwear at a Wal-Mart store in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Local media reported that “in an unusual manner, bald on top with a patch of wig on the front of his head.”
He also had the word “BAD” written in black marker on the back of his head.
The reason for the punishment? His mother didn’t take kindly to him “fighting and making homophobic remarks in school”.
The mother was not charged with any offences, but is being investigated by social services.
Police spokesman Mark Bollinger told The Washington Post: “We’re not going to charge the mother with anything. The incident apparently shocked some customers and some some of the staff, and they gave us a call.”
She argued her case, saying “corporal punishment has been ineffective, so she was attempting to embarrass” her son into changing his behaviour.
