The day in the life of two gay dads (VIDEO)
The video shows gay families are just like everybody else, say its makers.
The film – created by the ‘Gays With Kids’ support group – captures the average Sunday routine for an adorable New York based family – couple Corey and Rocco, and their young son Forge.
A typical Sunday in the life of this family starts with breakfast followed by “indoor and outdoor play time”.
The day’s highlight includes a visit to Forge’s grandparents house, where they get to play with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
After one a delicious home-cooked meals, the family heads home for bath time, snuggles and bed… just like so many other families.
Gays With Kids was set up to offer support for gay dads and men considering fatherhood.
Its founders say videos like this not only encourage gay men to pursue their dream of starting a family, but help “normalise” the idea LGBT families to both gay and straight people.
Since posting the video, the Gays With Kids team say have received hundreds of messages of love and support – with many gay men now inspired to become parents themselves.
“What a lovely family you’ve got guys, so happy for you,” wrote one viewer.
“This is one beautiful video,” said another. “I cried a little bit because of it.”
