Rachel Dolezal comes out again… this time as white
After ‘coming out’ as black and coming out as bisexual, Rachel Dolezal has scored a hat-trick by coming out as white.
Ms Dolezal – the former head of a branch of the NCAAP in Spokane, Washington – rose to fame when she was ‘unmasked’ as a white woman back in June, after her own family spoke out against her
Her actions provoked outrage across the globe, with many accusing her of racism and other’s claiming she was mentally ill.
The activist later came out as bisexual, claiming in an interview: “I’m bisexual, and so, you know, I’ve dated men and women.”
In an interview today on Fox show The Real, Dolezal finally admitted that she is actually white.
Host Jeannie Mai had challenged her by saying: “You weren’t born black, so when you say you are black, it makes it hard for people to understand where you’re coming from.”
Dolezal replied: “Right, and that’s why I said, I acknowledge that I was biologically born white to white parents…”
She attempted to continue making her point – but was drowned out by the audience applauding as she finally admitted she is white.
Ms Dolezal is not the most popular figure – but she has won support from pop star Rihanna.
The singer explained: “I think she was a bit of a hero, because she kind of flipped on society a little bit.
“Is it such a horrible thing that she pretended to be black? Black is a great thing, and I think she legit changed people’s perspective a bit and woke people up.”
