‘Jennifer Lawrence is gay’ teases BFF Amy Schumer
The comic has ‘outed’ the movie star after it was announced the pair will write a film together.
Jennifer Lawrence threw fans into a frenzy after revealing details of her crazy friendship with Amy Schumer.
“Amy and I were creatively made for each other,” the Hunger Games star told The New York Times.
Apparently, teasing each other about coming out of the closet is just one part of the wackiest friendship in Hollywood.
During the interview, The Hunger Games star revealed a string of text messages she had just exchanged with her hilarious BFF.
“I wrote, ‘I just spilled the beans to The New York Times. Is that okay?’” she told the interviewer.
“And Amy wrote back, ‘That you’re gay? Totally! It’s exciting!’”
Discussing the new film the pair are writing together – in which they will play sisters – Lawrence also revealed how the pair’s friendship began.
“I guess I should just say it, I’m in love with you,” Lawrence reportedly wrote in an email.
Schumer then invited Lawrence on holiday with a group of her school friends, with their subsequent adventures causing a sensation in Schumer’s Instagram posts.
However, although J-Law may have a lot of time for her new bestie, she recently lashed out at a few people she is not so fond of.
When asked about homophobic clerk Kim Davies by Vogue recently, the actress made her feelings on her fellow Kentucky native crystal clear.
“[That] lady who makes me embarrassed to be from Kentucky?” she said to the magazine.
“Don’t even say her name in this house!”
She also had some stern words for the Kentucky clerk’s supporters.
“All those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight. I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”
Lawrence also told the reporter that she had been raised Republican, but could not conceive of supporting the party due to their views on women.
“It’s 2015 and gay people can get married and we think that we’ve come so far, so, yay! But have we? I don’t want to stay quiet about that stuff.”
Last month she also let rip on Donald Trump, saying “if [he] becomes president, that will be the end of the world.”
