Groom and best man mark the end of a beautiful bromance in wedding day photo shoot
John Taylor and Andy Pemberton shared a series of touching photos to celebrate their friendship.
A series of snaps celebrating a long-standing bromance between a groom-to-be and his best man have garnered more attention than photos of the actual wedding day.
Rather than pitch in with all important wedding preparations for his upcoming nuptials, John Taylor instead decided to focus on another important relationship in his life.
Along with his best man – and best friend of over ten years – Andy Pemberton, Taylor decided to pose in a series of tongue-in-cheek bromantic photographs.
“I told [the photgrapher’ that we may want to take a couple of ‘funny shots’,” Taylor told Buzzfeed.
“I don’t think she realised that she would be photographing two naked blokes in twin bath tubs.”
“I don’t think we did either, really.”
“I love the shots of us watching morning telly in the bath and also where [Andy] has thrown the flannel at my face,” he added.
“Not so keen on the fact [he] was using that tiny flannel to cover his modesty a few minutes before”.
Photographer Katie Byram shared her surprise at finding the men in a state of undress when she arrived at the groom’s hotel room.
“John opened the door in a bathrobe and said with a cheeky smile, ‘Hello, Katie, we’ve been expecting you.’
“I normally take photographs of guys putting on their ties and button holes but they wanted something a lot less traditional and a lot more fun,” she continued.
“We were roaring with laughter through much of it.”
“I didn’t want typical groom prep photos and I certainly didn’t get them,” Taylor echoed. “[I] couldn’t be happier.”
It seems his bride couldn’t either.
“She totally gets the bromance and loved the photos when she saw them,” Taylor said.
“A few of the photos have made the wedding album, including a bed one and one of us in the baths.”
