People urged to ‘toss off with friends’ for sexual health charity
Sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust is urging people to ‘toss off’ with their friends.
The charity – which works on causes around HIV and sexual health – launched a cheeky new campaign this week.
It declares: “Get your friends together and get tossing! Host a Toss Off at your place to help raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust”.
However, before you get too excited, the campaign is intended to tie in with Pancake Day next month.
The charity explained: “The ‘Toss Off’ campaign asks people across the country to throw pancake parties in their homes on Pancake Day, Tuesday February 9.
“By bringing friends together, feasting on delicious, tossed pancakes and donating to Terrence Higgins Trust, the charity hopes to see thousands raised to support people living with and affected by HIV.”
The charity is looking to raise funds by asking guests at the ‘toss off’ parties for a £10 donation.
Sonya Trivedy, Fundraising Director at Terrence Higgins Trust, said: “This Pancake Day we hope people all over the country will come together, toss pancakes with their friends and raise money to support people living with and affected by HIV.
“Toss Off is a cheeky play on words, encouraging people to host pancake tossing parties and support the UK’s largest HIV and Sexual Health charity at the same time.
“It’s a new, fun and easy way to raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust, so register today to host your pancake party and get tossing for charity!”
