Lesbian woman raped and mutilated in brutal killing
The body of a young lesbian woman has been found after she disappeared shortly before Christmas.
A lesbian won has been brutally murdered in South Africa shortly after graduating from high school.
The body of Motshidisi Pascalina – thought to be aged between 18 and 20 – was discovered in a field close to her home in Gauteng province.
Ms Pascalina was last seen on December 16.
Police suspect she was raped, before her killers subject her to torture and mutilation.
“We suspect she was raped. Her body was burnt. Her eyes were taken out and her private parts were mutilated,” Cedric Davids – a member of the Young Communists’ League – told eNCA news.
“Most of her body had sustained burn injuries. Her parents identified her by her tattoo on her leg, it was the only thing visible.”
Report suggest four men have since been arrested in connection with Ms Pascalina’s murder.
Investigators have suggested that the victim may have been subject to ‘corrective rape’ – in which men try to ‘cure’ lesbian women of their sexuality by raping them.
Last year, two men who ran a camp linked to “gay conversions” were found guilty of murder, child abuse and assault.
Three teenage boys died after attending the Echo Wild Game Rangers military-style camp, which was intended to “make men” out of “effeminate” teenage boys.
One of the boys, Raymond Buys, died after two weeks spent in hospital on life support. His mother was told he had “virtually zero chance” of surviving.
He was beaten, starved and forced to eat his own faeces at the camp in 2011. He had brain damage, a broken arm, severe dehydration, and cigarette burns all over his body.
