Caitlyn Jenner is working on a no-holds barred memoir
Caitlyn Jenner is working on her memoir, according to reports.
The former Olympian will write her memoir about transitioning, after she came out as trans last year.
According to the New York Times, Jenner has been working on getting the book deal for months.
Buzz Bissinger, a Pulitzer Prize winning magazine writer will co-author the book.
The columnist was also behind the ‘Call Me Caitlyn’, article in Vanity Fair, at the time Jenner revealed her transition on the magazine’s cover.
“I made it clear to her before I agreed that everything has to be on the table, nothing can be left out, and I’m going to be interviewing dozens of other people,” Bissinger told the New YorkTimes.
“It’s her book, but it’s going to be reported out to keep her honest. She’s been incredibly open, and I think it has the potential to be a really important book.”
Grand Central Publishing released a statement from Jenner saying “things have been moving so quickly that it will be nice to slow things down a bit and take the proper time to reflect on this journey”.
She said she “couldn’t pick a better team” and said she, her publisher and Bissinger want “to make sure this story is told with a lot of honesty and care.”
The book is set for an early 2017 release.
