Bette Midler has announced her big return to Broadway!
Bette Midler has announced that she will return to Broadway in a hit musical.
Midler for a long time looked like she wouldn’t return to Broadway, given negativity she has received online.
However the star will return to the stage in the legendary musical ‘Hello, Dolly!’.
The show will be directed by Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, and will be choreographed by fellow Tony winner Warren Carlyle.
The show will begin preview performances on March 13 2017, and will have an official opening night of 20 April.
The theatre at which the show will be performed has not yet been announced.
Midler has received three Grammys four Golden Globes, three Emmys and a Tony Award.
She appeared on Broadway in the original Fiddler on the Roof production.
Various other stars have been linked to the production including Kristin Chenoweth, Patti LuPone and Queen Latifah.
Hello, Dolly! Has not appeared on Broadway since 1995.
Barbra Streisand played Dolly in a 1969 film version of the musical.
Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler And Diane Keaton, known for the First Wives Club, are to reunite for a new Netflix film. The stars will reunite for a new film, Divanation, exclusive to Netflix.
