Elton John confirms he is working on Lady Gaga’s new album
New music from Lady Gaga will include songs at least co-written by Sir Elton John.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio, Sir Elton confirmed that he is working with Oscar nominee Lady Gaga.
“I’ve heard two songs, which are killer. They’re just great songs,” Sir Elton told Lowe.
“It’s like back to the early stuff of hers — like ‘You and I’ and the Bruce Springsteen one (as I always call it), ‘Bad Romance’.”
Dj Lowe tweeted to confirm that Sir Elton said he will be “writing with Gaga tomorrow.”
Super producer Mark Ronson also confirmed earlier this week that he is working on Gaga’s new album.
Lady Gaga last week received her first major award for acting at the Golden Globes.
Gaga won the Best Actress Award for her performance as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel.
She joined singer Sam Smith, who added another Golden Globe to his already impressive collection, after winning the Best Original Song award for Bond theme ‘Writing On The Wall’.
Both stars seemed genuinely surprised by their wins, with Gaga referencing fellow gay icon Cher during her acceptance speech.
“I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now,” Gaga told the A-List audience at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“This is one of the greatest moments of my life. I have to thank Ryan Murphy. You’re just a wonderful human being.
“You have believed in me so much and been such a good friend.”
