Will & Grace cast reunites for TV special… without Grace
The Will & Grace cast have reunited for a TV special – but without Grace.
The cast of legendary gay sitcom Will & Grace filmed a special TV tribute this week.
The groundbreaking NBC sitcom ran for eight seasons from 1998 until 2006, and has often been hailed as the watershed moment in LGB visibility in the media.
The show featured Eric McCormack as gay lead Will Truman, alongside his roommate and best friend Grace Adler (Debra Messing.
McCormack attended a reunion taping this weekalongside Megan Mullally (Karen Walker) and Sean Hayes (Jack McFarland) – but unfortunately someone major was missing.
Sean Hayes confirmed: “Great seeing Megan Mullally and Eric McCormack tonight at the #JamesBurrowsSpecial. Sadly, Debra Messing was not able to make it. You were dearly missed, Debra.”
For some, a Will & Grace reunion without Grace doesn’t bear thinking about.
Who will make the most questionable fashion choices?

Who will Karen Walker insult?
Actually, Karen Walker would probably still insult everyone.
It’s still possible that Messing will tape a separate message for the special, honouring long-running sitcom director James Burrows – who has directed more than 1,000 episodes of television, from Cheers to Friends to Will & Grace.
It’s not known whether a special skit was recorded, or if the show will simply feature a straight-up tribute – though we’re expecting a few surprises.
A number of TV show casts have been confirmed as part of the special – including five-sixths of the Friends cast, minus Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry).
The Smithsonian museum previously launched a new collection to mark the history of LGBT people, which will include props from Will & Grace.
Showrunner David Kohan said: “The fact that it’s in the American history [museum], maybe we were a part of something that was bigger than we ever imagined.
“These particular guests that were invited into people’s living rooms happened to be your gay friends.
“I don’t think people really had the opportunity to have that before, and it served to, I think, make people recognize that your close friends were gay.”
