Susan Sarandon and Piers Morgan trade nude pics during Twitter spat
The actress and LGBT advocate hit back after Morgan labelled her outfit choice ‘tacky’.
Susan Sarandon has responded to Piers Morgan, after the presented attacked the actress online for wearing a “horribly inappropriate” outfit to the recent Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The actress tweeted a picture of herself in nothing but her underwear, after Morgan accused her of “deliberately flaunting your breasts on TV for publicity.”
The stunning 69-year-old dedicated the classic snap – from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
“Today’s #TBT is dedicated to @piersmorgan,” she quipped.
Morgan has been criticised by both men and women for attacking the Thelma and Louise star for wearing a low-cut white blazer and black bra to the awards – with many claiming Morgan’s real issue is Sarandon’s age.
However, Morgan said his only complaint was the fact that the star’s clothes were inappropriate to wear to an event that honours deceased actors – although he did not seem to have a problem with other, younger starlet’s equally risqué choices.
“Would Susan Sarandon wear this to a funeral? No,” he wrote.
“It was thus horribly inappropriate for an In Memoriam tribute.”
After seeing Sarandon’s dedication to him. Morgan replied with a picture of his own…
In a move that repulsed most users, he posted digitally remastered image of himself – lying semi-clothed in front of a blazing fire and wearing gold jewelry.
He later assured the actress, “I think your cleavage is magnificent. I’d just keep it hidden for “In Memoriam” tributes. Love Piers x” before telling his “furious feminist” critics to “pipe down.”
Sarandon is a strong supporter of same-sex marriage and LGBT rights, filming a video for the Human Rights Campaign in 2014 calling for equality.
She said at the time: “While marriage might not be my thing, if it’s your thing you damn well ought to be able to have it equally and unequivocally.”
She has also spoken out in support of her gender fluid son, Miles, saying she thinks that “the more crayons you have in your box to colour outside the lines, the more exciting it is.”
