Watch: Elton John and James Corden sing Lion King tribute in Carpool Karaoke
Sir Elton John joined James Corden this week for a Lion King sing-along, and it was pretty amazing.
The out music legend was appearing on Corden’s US talk show The Late Late Show to promote his 32nd album, Wonderful Crazy Night.
He took part in the comic’s Carpool Karaoke segment, singing along to classics including Your Song, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me, and Circle of Life from the Lion King.
James Corden also asked the star – who recently ended a bitter feud with fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana – about his reputation for tantrums.
Corden asked: “You have had some tantrums in your time. There’s so many stories and you never know which are true – which is the one you look back on and think ‘that was quite a tantrum’?”
The singer recounted: “There is one… I’d been up for a couple days at the Inn in the Park in London, and I was still up at 11 in the morning.
“I rang the office, and said ‘it’s far too windy here, can you do something about it?’
“I can imagine him putting his hand over the receiver and going ‘he’s finally lost the plot!’
“It wasn’t a tantrum as such, but as reality goes, it’s pretty far off the chart.”
However, he added that he finds it easy to deal with his own sons when they get upset.
He says: “I love it. They’ve been amazing – I haven’t had one second in Zachary or Elijah’s lives where I felt they’d been getting on my nerves.
“I can’t believe I’m sitting in the car telling you this.
He added: “Ten years ago if you’d told me I’d be telling you this, I’d have said you’re crazy – but it’s changed my life.
“I thought that I was too old to be a dad, but I’m not too old to be a dad – you’re not too old to to anything. Those kids have changed our lives completely.”
He’s not the only star to join Corden recently – Adele also joined him for a carpool sing-along session last month.
