Steve Coogan and Paul Rudd to play a married gay couple in new comedy
Steve Coogan and Paul Rudd have signed up to play a married gay couple in an upcoming film.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Alan Partridge star Steve Coogan and Ant-Man’s Paul Rudd will be teaming up for the film, ‘An Ideal Home’.
The actors are set to star “as a troubled married couple with an extravagant life”.
The blurb explains that Coogan and Rudd’s character will struggle to adapt with raising their grandson, when he shows up with nowhere else to go.
According to the report, Arrested Development director Andrew Fleming is writing the script and directing the project, which is being sold by Fortitude in Berlin.
Meanwhile, Gabriella Tana, Maria Theresa Arida, Maxime Remillard and Aaron Ryder are signed on to produce, with Clark Peterson and Lisa Wolofsky listed as executive producers.

Ant-Man star Paul Rudd was previously forced to deny a bizarre rumour – after a video appeared to show him tackling a violent homophobe in Dallas airport.
The clip surfaced online ahead of the release of Ant-Man, and showed a man bellowing anti-gay slurs and hitting out at passengers.
An onlooker with a strong resemblance to Rudd helped security to tackle the man before he caused damage – but the star’s reps insisted he was hundreds of miles away, and had not taken up real-life crimefighting.
