Military couple’s first kiss sends the internet crazy
A US military couple have sent the internet into a spin, after a photo of their wedding went viral.
Shane Adriano and Tristian Resz were married at Greene County Courthouse in Springfield, Missouri, with only a few guests present.
However after the American Military Partners Association posted a photo of their first kiss on Facebook, thousands have taken to the site to show support.
Alexandria Recker, said: “If I could say congrats a million times I would.
“Do not let anybody make you feel like your marriage is any less valuable than theirs.”
Another user, Jason Rundle, added: “Nothing but happiness to you both!
“Any negative comments reflect others insecurities, hatred towards themselves and ignorance.”
Another user reflected on his time on a US air force base in Germany and said he wished the same had been possible in 1967.
Mr Resz said that most of the people who had commented on the photo were from the military and that he was incredibly proud of how far the forces had come.
The couple met last year and are planning to move to Waynesville.
Both said it was love at first sight, with Mr Rasz adding, “this is the one person I can’t live without”.
The US military ban on only gay service men and women known as ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ ended in 2011 – after being in place for over 18 years.
At the time, President Obama said he welcomed the end of the policy and that he was glad gay personnel no longer had to lie about who they are.
