This correction on a Donald Trump article is the best thing you’ll read all day
Sometimes news sites make mistakes, and need to issue corrections – but not all corrections are created equal.
This one from Wired.com, on an article about Donald Trump is pretty hysterical – and it seems editors there see the funny side.
On an article about Donald Trump’s endorsement by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the installation of a Google Chrome app meant it was published with a slightly embarrassing automatic edit.
Christie took a hit when various media outlets called for his resignation after he endorsed the Republican frontrunner, after ending his own Presidential campaign.
Every mention of the name “Donald Trump” was actually replaced with the phrase “Someone With Tiny Hands”. The change was made automatically, and apparently went unnoticed before publishing.
The correction reads: “Correction at 9:58 a.m. on 3/09/2016: Due to an oversight involving a haphazardly-installed Chrome extension during the editing process, the name Donald Trump was erroneously replaced with the phrase “Someone With Tiny Hands” when this story originally published.”
The app in question presumably refers to a strange feud between Trump and fellow Republican Presidential hopeful Marco Rubio.
During the controversy, which left the Apprentice star defending the size of his penis, Rubio attacked the size of Trump’s hands.
Naturally this sent the internet into Photoshop overdrive! However, this was not the first time the debate has turned to genitals this month, as Trump responded with a blowjob joke after failed Presidential candidate Mitt Romney warned that fellow Republican Donald Trump is not fit for the Presidential nomination.
