Till death do us prank: Two friends fool family by pretending to get married
Two friends from Scotland shocked family and friends back home – by faking a gay Las Vegas wedding.
Jordan Myles and Kevin MacAuley fooled their loved ones while on a holiday in Sin City to see the UFC fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
The pair staged an elaborate hoax that involved putting on wedding dresses, hiring a chapel, buying rings and signing a fake register.
They even went as far as to post ‘morning after’ photos.
Plumber Jordan said that after a few drinks, the pair thought it would be funny to play the trick on their families.
Putting the photos on Facebook, he said: “Kev MacMyles and myself would like to announce that we got married in Las Vegas this afternoon.
“Thank you to Allan Webster for acting as Best Man for both of us. Off to UFC196 for our honeymoon.”
Later, he posted a photo of Kevin in bed, saying “I’m obviously not that good in the sack.”
Both have now changed their surnames to ‘MacMyles’, a hybrid of both their last names, and made their profile pictures of their first kiss.
After a number of friends commented about how they couldn’t believe it had happened and question if it was real or not, Kevin confirmed the whole thing was a joke.
He said: “It was just a wind up for the folk back home as a few people had said that we prob come back married.
“We’d had been drinking when we decided to go and get fake wedding photos done.”
