North Korea releases bizarre video featuring nuclear attack on America
North Korea has released a strange new propaganda video in which America is attacked with nuclear weapons.
The reclusive Asian country is renowned for its secrecy, warmongering, and the oppressive rule of the Kim dynasty, currently headed by 33-year-old Kim Jong-un, who claims to have cured AIDS and hangovers.
Given the country’s appalling human rights abuses, LGBT rights are seldom on the radar – but the country’s officials are no stranger to homophobia, hitting out at the gay man heading a UN human rights panel as a “disgusting old lecher” in 2014.
The country released the video showing the US being attacked with a nuclear missile.
Four minutes long, the propaganda video also features a summary of tensions between the US and North Korea.
Towards the end of the video, after lots of weeping and clapping at the country’s accomplishments, a nuclear bomb is seen detonating by the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC.
Despite the special effects of the video being pretty bad, the disturbing meaning behind the message remains.
The message displayed while the bomb goes off reads: “If US imperialists budge an inch toward us, we will immediately hit them with nuclear” weapons.
The video was first published on the DRPK propaganda website today.
Earlier this year, a gay North Korean defector released an autobiography about escaping the country and realising that he is gay.
