UKIP’s drag queen MP is getting her own show
A drag queen who pretends to be an MP for the UK Independence Party is getting her own stage show.
Petunia Harris, the so-called ‘UKIP Member of Parliament for Bitter End’, was born last year when creator Jake Johnstone decided to crash UKIP conference in full drag to parody the party’s views.
The ‘MP’ has lived on past the stunt – and has since attracted hundreds of followers on social media.
Johnstone announced today that the character would be getting her own stage show, ‘Can’t Accom’, set to debut this summer.
A statement from Petunia Harris says: “In-between punching children in the face and deporting your loved ones, I’ve been working my fingers to their glorious white bones to come up with a live comedy show which I shall be taking into venues across the UK! It’s even got a song in it!
“I will be taking to the stage in various locations to use, abuse and offend EVERYONE I possibly can while all you lot drink yourselves into a coma… for a change.
“Three dates have now been confirmed in CARDIFF (The Kings) MANCHESTER (The Library) and BRISTOL (Retreat Bristol) however more are on their way!
“This is just me letting you know in advance so you can book a babysitter or douche yourself or whatever it is you do with your sad and disgusting lives.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Apparently Ms Harris doesn’t get on with UKIP’s only (other) MP – Douglas Carswell has blocked her on Twitter.
The show will debut later this year.
UKIP previously attracted genuine support from Blackpool drag artist Rose Hypnol – but the drag queen now says she “still wants out of EU but no longer supports UKIP”.
