Hate groups tell parents to pull kids out of school over ‘Satanic’ LGBT anti-bullying day
Anti-gay groups have urged parents to pull their kids out of school to keep their children home from school to ‘protest’ an upcoming LGBT anti-bullying day.
The GLSEN Day of Silence is an annual event that raises awareness of “anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools” – with students taking a vow of silence for the day.
Many schools across the US take part in the day, with students self-organising the event.
However, anti-gay groups have banded together with ‘concerned’ parents in a bid to force schools to drop the day, set to take place on April 15.
The group ‘DOS Walkout’, funded by the militantly anti-LGBT Illinois Family Institute in conjunction with the American Family Association hate group, claims: “The explicit purpose of DOS is to encourage sympathy and support for students involved in homosexual and cross-dressing behaviors whose voices have been allegedly silenced by the disapproval of society.
On this day, thousands of public high schools and increasing numbers of middle schools will allow students to remain silent throughout an entire day – even during instructional time – to promote GLSEN’s socio-political goals and its controversial, unproven, and destructive theories on the nature and morality of homosexuality.
“Parents must actively oppose this hijacking of the classroom for political purposes. Please join the national effort to reclaim a proper understanding of the role, and limits of public education.
“Help de-politicize the learning environment by calling your child out of school if your child’s school allows students and/or teachers to refuse to speak during instructional time on the Day of Silence.”
It has published a number of materials urging parents to contact schools and harass teachers and administrators about “deviant” homosexual behaviour.
Extremist activist Linda Harvey has backed the day.
She wrote: “The ‘Day of Silence’ is a stunning example of the widespread indoctrination of youth culture with trashy, deviant behaviour masquerading as acceptable conduct.
“Satan is laughing as he messes with the minds and bodies of our dear children. This event is a blatant exercise in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual molestation as our children become apologists for sodomy and gender confusion.”
