Caitlyn Jenner ‘not comfortable’ with gender confirmation surgery (VIDEO)
The reality star discussed the issue during the latest episode of her show.
Caitlyn Jenner has revealed she is still unsure about whether she will ever have gender confirmation surgery.
The former Olympian opens up about her thoughts on the subject in a new clip from her reality TV show I Am Cait.
Speaking to her trans friends who often feature in the show, Jenner – who recently launched her own cosmetics range – reflects on the last few months of her life, before discussing her future plans.
“The last six months of my life have been really enlightening, but one thing I’m really not comfortable with is this issue of gender confirmation surgery,” she says.
One of her friends comments that it is “something that everyone has to wrestle with individually,” and that Jenner “needs to find her truth.”
Another friend reassures her that her gender is not defined by whether she chooses to go through confirmation surgery or not.
“There are a lot of people who never had surgery and yet they’re still men or women,” before asking, “Are you reluctant to learn more about this?”
Jenner simply responds: “How do I answer that?”
The reality star was recently taken to task by her friends on the show after appearing to back extreme anti-LGBT Republican Ted Cruz in his run for President.
Jenner was later quizzed on her views in a trailer for the second series of ‘I am Cait’ – with the help of a PinkNews article.
Her transgender friends confront her for her support for the Republican party, including Cruz.
In the trailer, Candis Cayne questions Jenner on her support for Cruz, quoting a PinkNews article.
The article, from December 2015, quotes Cruz saying he thinks trans kids will molest his daughters.
