Kylie Minogue set to sing at the Queen’s 90th Birthday bash
Kylie Minogue is to perform for the Queen for her 90th birthday celebrations.
The ‘Spinning Around’ singer will join stars like Katherine Jenkins, Beverley Knight, James Blunt, Andrea Bocelli, Alfie Boe and Jess Glynne at the concert on 15 May.
The event will take place within the private grounds of Windsor Castle.
Performers will tell the story of the Queen’s life from her birth in 1926 throughout her more than 60-year reign.
Dame Helen Mirren, Damian Lewis, John Boyega, Martin Clunes, Jennifer Saunders, Imelda Staunton and Alan Titchmarsh will also appear at the event.
Hosts Ant and Dec said: “We are honoured to be hosting this special celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday.
“This spectacular evening will bring together some of the best-known names in the entertainment world who will perform with 900 horses and 1,500 participants to mark this very special birthday.”
Minogue earlier this year announced that she got engaged to her fiancé Joshua Sasse.
Kylie has been dating the 28-year-old actor for six months, and it is rumoured that he asked her to marry him at Christmas.
Minogue certainly didn’t pull any punches when she criticised Kylie Jenner’s trademark application.
Jenner has filed a trademark application for ownership of the name ‘Kylie’, but Minogue has mounted a legal battle to stop her.
