Ricky Martin steps onto the red carpet with new boyfriend
Ricky Martin has introduced the world to his new boyfriend.
Ricky Martin formally introduced the world to his new partner at an event in São Paulo, Brazil on Saturday.
However, the two were not just simply walking down the red carpet together — they were also proudly holding hands.
Martin’s new beau is 31-year-old London-based artist Jwan Yosef, who reports state was born in Syria and raised in Sweden.
Martin later posted a picture on his Instagram account with a one-word caption, ‘Yup.’
The media had been speculating that Martin and Yosef were together for the past few months, with the two often spotted holidaying together, in Japan, NYC, Malibu and Puerto Rico.
The 44-year-old – who broke up with Carlos Gonzalez Abella in 2014 – has said he hopes to walk down the aisle with someone he “connects with” in future.
He said: “For me that paper is important. I also love the romanticism behind it.
“I am single now after seven years. I meet people. I’m fine. I meet very handsome men.
“I like to have a conversation, looking into someone’s eyes and finding out their sense of humour,” he added.
“I’m not saying you have to be an Adonis, but you have to connect.”
The singer has six-year-old twins Matteo and Valentino who were born using a surrogate in 2008.
The singer – who came out as gay in 2010 – recently said he was open to having sex with a woman in a bid to tackle labels.
