Will & Grace star shares touching note from gay flight attendant who says show ‘helped him come out’

Will & Grace star Debra Messing has shared a message she was slipped by flight attendant, who thanked her and her co-stars for helping him to come out.
Messing, who starred opposite Eric McCormack in the hit sitcom, posted a picture of the handwritten note on Twitter.

Messing responded to the message by saying she was āso gratefulā to the grateful fan, before tweeting it to McCormack so he could see it for himself.
āA note from a Flight Attendant. So grateful. @EricMcCormackā, she wrote.
Last year, Messing said that she regrets that the trailblazing sitcom wrapped up when it did.
The show ā one of the first mainstream sitcoms to focus on gay life ā aired 194 episodes across eight seasons between 1998 and 2006, and has been credited with helping to change public perceptions on LGBT issues.
However, Messing ā who played lead Grace Adler on the show for all eight seasons ā says she regrets that the show did not go on for longer.
When asked what she would change about the show, she said: āI guess I would change the fact that we stopped [the show] after eight years.
āIt was such a happy time, and we were all really exhausted by that point and it was the right thing to do at that time, but now obviously time has passed, and I watch the show with my son who laughs at it and I think it wouldāve been really great to do it a few more years.
Messing ā who recently hit out at Susan Sarandon over the US presidential race ā recently shared her heartbreak at missing out on the cast reunion.
