Woman arrested over homophobic incident on train
A woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged homophobic incident on a train.
The woman was arrested after allegedly verbally attacking two women as they travelled on the train between Glasgow and Stirling on last weekend.
The incident took place shortly after the train left Glasgow and prior to its arrival into Stirling station, according the Glasgow Evening Times.
A spokesman for British Transport Police confirmed the arrest.
“British Transport Police can confirm that a 46-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged homophobic incident on a train travelling between Glasgow and Stirling on Sunday, 1 May, 2016.
“She is now the subject of a report to the local Procurator Fiscal,” he added.
“Members of the public and media are thanked for their assistance in this matter.”
