This is how ‘bathroom cops’ are trained in North Carolina (VIDEO)
A new video has leaked, which is used to train North Carolina police how to check for ID in public bathrooms.
Not really – but this Funny or Die spoof video does (yet again) prove just how ludicrous North Carolina’s HB2 really is, along with any other anti-trans ‘bathroom bills’ in the US.
In the video, which would be hilarious if it wasn’t so true, the sergeant shows new recruits how to find out if someone has documents to prove their gender.
She asks how to tell if someone is “harbouring any suspicious genitals on their person”.
While the concept of checking someone’s genitals in a public restroom is absurd enough to be the basis of a comedy skit, it isn’t so far from the truth in various recent incidents.
A lesbian in the UK was kicked out of a McDonald’s for using the women’s toilets, after being mistaken for a man.
In another video from 2015, which re-surfaced after North Carolina introduced HB2, a lesbian is forcibly removed from a women’s bathroom when she can’t ‘prove’ her gender.
