Tom Daley finally explains why his speedos are so small
One of life’s great mysteries has finally been solved…
Tom Daley has answered a question that many of us have always wanted to the answer to.
The Olympic diver – who is famed for his decidedly small speedos – has explained the reasoning behind his minuscule pool attire.
“They have to be small because everything has to stay in place,” he revealed on this week’s The Graham Norton Show.
“If you’re spinning around the last thing, you want to do is have something come out of place!
“And when you hit the water you don’t want things flapping about because it would hurt.”
Of course not Tom – nobody wants to see that.
The sports star also revealed more about his current training routine for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
“I am back to training six hours a day, six days a week,” he said.
“It is terrifying that you train for four years just for that one moment.
You get six dives and if you mess one up, it’s all over. It’s a pretty cutthroat thing.”
Daley earlier this year asked his followers to photoshop his new cover photo for Twitter… and hilarity ensued.
Daley in January opened up (again) about getting engaged with Dustin Lance Black.
The Olympic diver announced his engagement last year to his screenwriter partner, who was behind Oscar-winning gay rights biopic Milk.
But he announced in January the breaking news that he hid the engagement ring somewhere very special…
