Stepfather charged with sexually assaulting trans daughter after she filmed the attacks
The woman says the abuse “stole her life” after her step-father pleaded guilty to incest charges.
An Australian man who sexually assaulted his trans step-daughter over a period of 13 years has pleaded guilty to incest in a Victoria court.
The abuse only ended after the woman recorded her step-father attacking her on her iPad.
The man began forcing himself on his step-daughter in 2002 when she was 19-years-old – a year after she had undergone gender realignment surgery.
“I just can’t help myself, you’ve become such a beautiful woman,” he told his victim as he tried to kiss her.
Although she managed to fight him off, the court heard that he later forced himself on her when her mother was at church.
“I know you’ve wanted this since your operation,” he said.
After stealing her virginity, he continued to abuse her, threatening to financially destroy the woman’s mother if she spoke of his ongoing crimes.
Prosecutor John Livitsanos told the Australian Press Association that he made threats to his victim every time he forced himself on her.
“He would tell the complainant she was his second wife and she should be happy because not many men would want to be with a woman like her – referring to the fact that she was transgender,” Mr Livitsanos said.
“She did not know how to make him stop.”
Over the 13-year period the step-father forced himself on the woman three or four times a week, Mr Livitsanos told the court.
Last year, he decided he wanted to film the sex – which gave her the idea to record his abuse by filming it on her iPad.
Her step-father discovered her plan, leading to a struggle for the device that left the woman with bruises on her hands and head.
“Your daughter wants it. She wants me to f*** her,” he screamed at his wife as she discovered them.
He was arrested later that day and claimed the incest had lasted six years, with around 30 incidents in that time.
In a statement read by her brother in court, the woman said her step-father “stole my life and I feel watered down to the bone”.
The plea hearing continues.
