Ku Klux Klan insists trans ‘abominations’ should be forced to pee outside
The Ku Klux Klan has continued to spread ill-informed hatred… but this time they’re going for trans people.
A branch of the white supremacist group delivered leaflets in Alabama, voicing support for ‘bathroom bills’ – which roll back LGBT rights protections, ostensibly to ban trans women from using women’s bathrooms.
The recruitment flier – sent by a branch calling itself the Loyal White Knights of the KKK – encourages people who are upset with trans-friendly bathroom policies to ‘fight back’ by giving money to the KKK.
It says: “Transgender is an abomination according to the King James Bible.
“These freaks are jeopardizing the safety of bathrooms all across the nation for our women and children. This needs to STOP
“There is no confusion. If you habe a PENIS – Use the MENS ROOM. If you have a VAGINA – Use the LADIES ROOM.
“If your [sic] confused and don’t know what sex you are today USE A TREE OUT IN THE BACK YARD.
“Join and help us stand up and boycott this abomination.”
The KKK leaflet also cites Bible verse Deuteronomy 22:5, which states: “A woman shall not wear that pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment. For all that do are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.”
However, they don’t appear to have looked at Deuteronomy 22 very closely when cherry-picking Bible verses… as the exact same chapter contains many of the Bible’s archaic provisions.
Deuteronomy 22:9 bans farmers from planting two different kinds of crops, 22:11 bans “clothes of wool and linen woven together” (so those robes better not be a poly blend), and Deutoronomy 22:13-30 explains that if a man rapes a virgin, she is duty bound to marry him… as long as he gives her father 29 kilograms of silver.
