Pastor Anne Graham again claims 9/11 was ‘warning shot’ from God about LGBT ‘sins’
Pastor Billy Graham’s daughter has again suggested that God let 9/11 happen because of LGBT rights – repeating comments she made earlier this month.
Anne Graham Lotz, the daughter of evangelical pastor Billy Graham, previously appeared to suggest that God let 9/11 happen because he’s too upset about transgender people.
Ms Graham previously suggested that trans rights was one of the issues that forced God to “abandon” the US, adding of God’s unwillingness to protect America: “I think that’s why God allows bad things to happen. I think that’d why he would allow 9/11 to happen.”
She repeated her comments this weekend while appearing on Understanding The Times radio, snipped by Right Wing Watch.
The preacher said: “People are beginning to wake up and maybe that’s why God has allowed it to happen like this, so we’re desperate enough to get serious about prayer.”
“God is warning us and he gives warning after warning. 9/11 was a shot across the bow.
“God is moving slowly in his judgment because he doesn’t want to do it… he doesn’t want us to have his hand of blessing and protection and favor removed.
“He doesn’t want us to be exposed to all the terrible things that we see happening in our country and the world that’s going to get worse if we don’t turn to God.”
She added that the “top three national sins” were the “defiance of God’s institution of marriage”, abortion, and weakening ties with Israel.
Her bigger badder brother Franklin Graham, the head of shoebox appeal charity Samaritan’s Purse, recently joined his sister in making a sinister 9/11 comparison.
Mr Graham told Fox News pundit Todd Starnes: “The country is imploding. We are seeing a moral implosion. Just like we saw the World Trade Center on 9/11 when the planes hit the tower, they imploded, they fell from within, and this is what’s happening to our country, we’re falling within.
“Our foundations have been weakened by immorality and it’s beginning to crumble.”
“I want the school boards of America in the hands of evangelical Christians within the next four to six years.
“And it can happen and that will have a huge impact because so many school districts now are controlled by wicked, evil people, and the gays and lesbians, and I keep bringing their name up, but they are at the forefront of this attack against Christianity in America.”
Mr Graham has previously accused Obama of spreading ‘immorality’ and ‘sin’, while praising Russia’s Vladimir Putin for instituting a ban on ‘gay propaganda’.
In a recent interview with a Russian newspaper, Graham praised Vladimir Putin’s support for anti-gay laws – and claimed that homosexuals “take people’s children”.
